A Message from the BFA:

The BFA is happy to announce that we have once again decided to sell prepackaged school supplies for the 2022-2023 school year through School Tool Box.  This is a BFA fundraiser which helps us offset the cost of supplies for Butterfield families in need.  Place your order online at www.schooltoolbox.com and it will be delivered directly to your home address.  You will have the option to customize your order by adding or removing items from the teacher-approved list. Online ordering begins May 6, 2022.

Wednesday, June 1st - During School Day for students body

Thursday, June 2nd - Field Day

Friday, June 3rd - 5th Grade Recognition Ceremony, 9:00-10:00 AM, 5th Grade Picnic

Kindergarten Celebration

Thursday, May 24th , 6:00-7:00 PM, the current kindergarten students will reflect on all they have learned and celebrate all their successes.  Friends and family are welcome to this special event.

Student Recognition Ceremony

Wednesday, June 1st Butterfield students will have the opportunity to recognize their peers for their involvement in school.  This is a great way to encourage students to become involved or continue to encourage students to stay involved in extracurricular opportunities at Butterfield School.  Unfortunately, due to space limitations, this assembly is only for the student body.

5th Grade Recognition and Picnic

It is hard to believe the time has come to say goodbye to our 5th grade Bulldogs.  We have enjoyed seeing all our students grow in many ways and know they are ready for the next big step, Highland Middle School.  Friends and family are welcome to join Butterfield’s 5th grade team and administrators as we recognize each student moving on.  Please join us Friday, June 3rd, from 9:00-10:00 AM for this special recognition (we ask that siblings attending Butterfield not be pulled from class for this special event).  After all certificates have been distributed and our guests say goodbye, the 5th grade students will enjoy an after picnic!  The BFA has been communicating information with 5th grade parents.

Kindergarten Placement Screening

To prepare for the new school year, the kindergarten team is inviting your child to participate in a Kindergarten Placement Screening.  The information gathered from the screening session will assist Butterfield’s staff when making class placement decisions for your child. Kindergarten Placement Screenings will take place:

Tuesday, June 7th

Wednesday, June 8th

Screening sessions will last approximately 30 minutes.

Kindergarten Parent Survey

In addition to the information that will be gathered during the Kindergarten Placement Screening, teachers are also hoping to gather parent input about incoming students.  Even if you cannot attend the screening, please consider completing this Kindergarten Parent Survey.  If possible, please complete the survey by Tuesday, June 7th.  Information provided will help staff to determine class placements.

Additional Information

More helpful information regarding busing, class placement, how the lunch program works, how to get involved in the family association, and much more will be sent in August.

We look forward to meeting all the future bulldogs!
