Bravo to our HMS students and staff who spent an entire Saturday transforming the bedroom of an 11-year-old boy fighting cancer for Special Spaces.
HMS students, including Hamsini, Indy, Chloe, and Giselle, painted and helped turn Lucas' room into a video game room, and then helped create a mini-makeover for his older sister's room! Staff working alongside students included Kerstin Cholewin, Sarah Grant, Marissa Zoellick, Principal Jon Hallmark, Kendra De Paz, Allie Luka, Jani Vuckovic, and long-term sub Dana Allan.
The group painted, assembled furniture, hung artwork, did DIY projects, and moved new furniture into place.
Special Spaces is a non-profit that creates dream bedrooms for dependent children ages 2-19 with cancer who are within one year of treatment.
